Neshamat Akiva is a Torah Center for artists and seekers, for the religious and the unaffiliated, for those returning to faith and those who resist labels altogether- for anyone searching for soul, to learn, and to grow.
Nestled in the heart of Nachlaot, Jerusalem’s most vibrant and eclectic neighborhood, where the streets are saturated with Torah, Nishmat Akiva is housed in a 150-year-old synagogue tucked within the winding alleyways. It is a place where inner peace awakens and life begins to glow.
Who Was Akiva Razel
Akiva Razel was a unique soul who brought together deep spirituality, authenticity, and acceptance. With his free spirit, love for people, and devotion to Torah and prayer, he became a source of light for everyone around him.
His Story
On the 18th of Kislev, Akiva was critically injured in a motorcycle accident. Three weeks later, surrounded by family and Shabbat prayers, his soul peacefully returned to Heaven.
His Legacy
Akiva believed in seeing beyond labels and recognizing the light within every person. The “Nishmat Akiva” Center continues his path — serving as a warm, open space for connection, healing, learning, and community.
